Our Meetings
We meet for services at 10:30 am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month (a few major holidays excepted), and have occasional social events. Children are welcome; we have appropriate materials and activities on hand.
Our meetings are low-key and we would be delighted to welcome you to meet our diverse members. At most meetings a topic is introduced by a member over the course of an open discussion. One joy with group of our size is that unless everyone happens to show up, it is easy for anyone who wants to participate to do so. You can find some of our topics on this web-site – we have great conversations!
In accordance with UU values, we enjoy the spiritual fellowship and supportive environment of a free religious community with the certainty of acceptance and respect regardless of color, culture, age, ability, gender identity or sexual orientation, economic status, skepticism or pursuit of common or uncommon spiritual paths – ALL are welcome.

One of our members, Bill, has a Substack where he posts essays. As he writes: “I offer a weekly article grounded in the Unitarian Universalist tradition, a faith that honors continuing revelation and invites us to discern truth through our own lived experiences. Through these articles, I aim to provide ‘good questions’ rather than easy answers—cultivating an intentional space to explore how we live a life of deep meaning and purpose.”
The monthly UU magazine ‘UU World” has lots of interesting articles
In 2017 this fellowship placed a statement of principles as a notice in the Wilkesboro newspaper. It is still wonderfully relevant and reproduced here.
